OSNepalNews, Kathmandu, 6th Dec: John Cena has said that he would be more than happy to take on the role of Captain America after being asked about the role.
During an appearance on The Ellen DeGeneres Show, the WWE superstar was told about a rumour that many fans wanted him to become the iconic Marvel superhero before Chris Evans landed the role. “For real?” he said, before hilariously adding: “Finally, it’s happened!”
During the show, the 41-year-old Cenation leader addressed the question with a more serious tone and expressed his interest in the role. “If it’s out there, if the Captain America people are listening and you’re watching right now, I’d totally do it,” he explained (via Comic Book). “I totally will, because I think I’d be a good Captain America… and I’ve already ruined everyone’s childhood, so it can’t get any worse!”
Evans has played the role of Steve Rogers in the Marvel Cinematic Universe since 2011’s Captain America: The First Avenger. He has reprised the role in two sequels — 2014’s Captain America: The Winter Soldier and 2016’s Captain America: Civil War — as well as appearances in The Avengers, Avengers: Age of Ultron and Avengers: Infinity War.
Following on from playing the role in the upcoming untitled Avengers film, the 37-year-old actor took to Twitter and hinted that it might be his final appearance as the all-American superhero.
